December 2011

We are now in the full swing of the holiday season the tree is up the lights are on and the ornaments are hanging with anticipation for Santa. The kids are so excited and counting down the days until Christmas. During all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season I like to take time and stop and reflect on what this season is really about. Over 2000 years ago this precious baby was born in a manger, I could not have imagined such a thing. This time of year everyone seems  a little kinder and more giving. Why does it take the Month of December for people to be this way? Why can't we have the spirit of Christmas in our hearts and minds each and every day of the year. Life is such a gift and we are not guaranteed the next day, we need to all live everyday day as if it is our last.

Thankful November

This is a month in which we should find the things in which we are grateful for and cherish them during this holiday season. I have decided to have a spirit of Thanksgiving in our home each and every day not just the month of November. Each night when we set down as a family for dinner we all go around the table and tell each other what we are thankful for from that day. Even if it has been a bad day there is always something to be thankful for and it makes the day seem a little better. Our family is so truly blessed, Keith and I will be celebrating 11 years of marriage on the 25th and we have been blessed with three amazing healthy children.
